　　五四运动又是什么？

　　B: Briefly¹ speaking, it's a patriotic² movement started with Chinese students on May 4th, 1919, to protest the Chinese government against the signing the Paris Peace Treaty.

　　简单说，就是为了反对中国政府在《巴黎和约》上签字，一九一九年五月四日爆发了以学生为先导的爱国运动。

　　A: Oh, that's why it's called the May 4th Movement.

　　哦，所以叫做五四运动。

　　B: Yeah. After the foundation of PRC, this day was cemented as China Youth Day in memory of this movement.

　　对，新中国成立后，为了纪念这一运动，就把这一天定为中国青年节。
