　　世界杯金靴奖（Golden Boot）是奖励给最佳射手（top scorer）的荣誉，世界杯比赛期间进球最多、在射手榜（top scorer list/scoring chart）排名首位的球员就会获此殊荣。在考试中，得分最高的考生也可以被称为top scorer，比如top gaokao scorers（高考状元）。

　　另外，世界杯还会颁发Golden Ball（金球奖），用来奖励世界杯决赛阶段表现最优秀的球员，即best player（最佳球员）。国际足联首先公布一个10人候选名单（shortlist），然后由媒体代表投票选出前三名。分别授予金球、银球和铜球奖。
