show grit ：拿出你的勇气来，展现你的勇气。grit 的本意是粗砂，很容易让人感觉坚韧、顽强。

e.g. <1>Once the team started losing they didn’t try anymore. They really didn’t show much grit.
这个队伍一输球就不再努力了，他们真的没拿出勇气来。

<2>You need to show some grit if you want to succeed in the rough world of business.

1. 剧中：This place been hit before?

hit ：这里表示被盗的意思，相当于rob。 hit 的本意表示重击。 be hit by something 被什么给予重重一击

e.g. <1>The telephone company hit me with a bill for over $1000.

<2>When her cat died she was really hit hard by it. It affected² her a lot – she was sad for weeks.
