 当我们谈论某人或某事怪怪的时，有一个最恰当的英语单词：weird¹，怪怪的，它可以用来形容一个人，也可以描述一件事有些蹊跷。
Jason is acting² weird today, what's wrong with him?  杰桑今天怪怪的，他怎么了？
Tony is a little weird, be careful when you're talking to him.　托尼这人有点怪，和他谈话时要小心点。
The atmosphere here is weird, what's going on?这里的气氛有点怪，发生什么事了？
Carrie is weird about her hair.凯丽对她的头发过度紧张。

 下面，要介绍一个很活用的口语表达法：Here's the thing，意思是"是这样的，事情是这样的，问题是"：
Here's the thing, even if I could get it together enough to ask a woman out,
