Chinese Olympic diving champion Tian Liang is set to have a new task in near future. 

Apart from winning gold medals in international competitions, he will be charged with sports administration.

Tian, 26, has been unofficially named deputy director of the swimming center of the Shaanxi Provincial¹ Sports Administration.

"The provincial sports administration is soliciting² public opinions on Tian's appointment," said an official at the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Administration who asked not to be named.

If Tian successfully assumes the post, he will become the second diver after Xiong Ni to go in for sports administration.
