This monster of a crocodile is Lolong. He's blamed to have killed two people in the southern Philippine town of Bunawan, and was captured after a three-week-long hunt in September last year. Measuring 6 meters and 17 centimeters or 20 feet and weighing over a ton, the salt water crocodile was thought to be the biggest in the world when caught. And that's now made official with a certificate from the Guinness World Records. Bunawan's mayor, Edwin Elorde. SOUNDBITE: Bunawan Mayor Edwin Elorde, saying "We are happier, and we appreciate Lolong more, now that he's become more famous. We treasure him even more." And that's only natural as Lolong is now a tourist attraction bringing in revenue1 for the remote town. He's made around $60,000 US dollars so far. Elly Park, Reuters.
