　　David: What's your major?

　　你学的什么专业？

　　You: English.

　　英语。

　　David: What year are you in?

　　几年级了？

　　You: I am in Grade Four this year.

　　今年四年级。

　　David: In the United States, each university year has a different name: freshman¹, sophomore², junior, and senior.

　　在美国，每个年级都有不同的名称: freshman、sophomore、junior和senior。

　　You: I don't like to suffer more than I need to. Many students suffer from the heavy workload³.

　　我不喜欢上二年级。学生在那一年里特别辛苦。

　　David: Suffer? I mean sophomore, not suffer more. I am saying the second year: sophomore. Oh, maybe you suffer every year?

　　辛苦？我是说sophomore（二年级学生），不是suffer more（更辛苦）。二年级学生称为“sophomore”。你是不是每年都很辛苦呢？

　　You: That is what I mean. But I like this year better than others. We don't have any schoolwork, and we can study on our own.

　　是的，不过今年好多了。最后一年没什么学习任务。我们可以做我们想做的事情。

　　David: I think many students , English majors in particular, look for language exchange partners. How about you?

　　我觉得似乎很多学生（尤其是英语专业的学生）会找外国留学生相互学习。你呢？

　　You: I am not interested in that.

　　我不大喜欢。

　　David: Oh.

　　哦。
