An explosion has rocked an abandoned bungalow1 in Central China’s Hunan province, killing2 six people.

The incident took place Sunday morning. The site is suspected to be an illegal firework workshop. One of the victims died when a house neighbouring the workshop collapsed3. Rescue work and an investigation4 are underway, and people in charge of the workshop have been detained by police.
