And the power of this avalanche would just kill everything in its parth. This avalanche probably hit the forest just a couple of weeks ago. It would have moved up to 150 miles an hour, 100,000 tons of snow breaking tree trunks as if they were twigs⁸. People skiing and snow-boarding off peaks have set off record-breaking number of avalanches in the Alps this year.
