Speaking on the possibility of human-to-human transmission, Dr. Zhong Nanshan, director of the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases, said there's still no evidence at the moment. He added, however, that the medical community should keep a close watch on the possibility of limited human transmission.
"If there’s human to human transmission, first there must be genetic1 mutation2. Second, it won’t be single cases but multiple cases occurring at the same time. Even though now we’re seeing neither of the two conditions, we can’t say there’s definitely no human-to-human transmission. There’s something called limited human to human transmission. That’s something we need to watch out for." Dr. Zhong said.
