　　I'll be happy to tell you that，

　　我很乐意回答您这个问题。

　　but I feel more comfortable discussing salary if you let me explain what my current job is and if you explain exactly what's required for this position,

　　但如果可以的话，我想先说明一下我目前工作的内容，并且请您明确解释一下这个职位的要求，然后再来谈薪水比较好，

　　because I'm not sure if the two jobs are comparable¹.

　　因为我无法确定这两个工作是否具有可比性。

　　如果因为给出的薪资与应聘职位的薪资标准有差距，而被从面试名单中除名的话，会有点得不偿失。因此，对于这个问题，也可以在工作职责，职责范围等尚未明确之前，尽量避免做出正面回答。
