　　We have a poor connection.

　　We have a poor connection.直译过来就是：“我们之间的连接状况很差”，这个短语的正确意思是：“我们的电话线路不好”。因此，当美国人说"We have a poor connection."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"We cannot hear each other clearly on the phone."、"There is something wrong with the phone line."。
