The Chinese and Russian navies have concluded their live-fire drills in the East China Sea. The two navies taking part in the "Joint1 Sea-2014" drill returned to Wusong Military Port on Sunday morning.
On Saturday, the Chinese and Russian warships2 conducted joint anti-submarine exercises. They used real weapons, with eight ships firing main guns, high-speed guns and rocket depth charges. The two navies also conducted a maritime3 search and rescue exercise.
A total of 14 ships took part in the three-day drills. Commanders of the two navies will hold discussions on the drill on Monday, when China’s Zhengzhou missile destroyer and Russia’s Varyag missile cruiser will be opened to visitors.
