　　Dialogue1

　　A: Do you believe they’ll raise our salary¹?

　　（你相信他们会给我们加薪吗？）

　　B: I doubt² it.

　　（我表示怀疑。）

　　Dialogue2

　　A: They’ve found your book on the third floor.

　　（他们在三楼找到了你的书。）

　　B: You’re kidding! I looked everywhere for it!

　　（你开玩笑吧！我到处找遍了都没有。）

　　表示相信

　　Dialogue 1

　　A: Do you believe that she plans to stay here for more than three weeks?

　　（你相信她打算在这里要呆上三个多星期吗？）

　　B: I have no doubt about it. She always wears out her welcome.

　　（我完全相信。她总是赖着不走。）

　　Dialogue 2

　　A: Believe me. I’ll do my best to help you, and I won’t let you down.

　　（相信我，我会尽力帮助你的，而且不会让你失望。）

　　B: OK. I take your word for it.

　　（好吧，我相信你的话。）
