        A：I couldn't look at you, and say you aren't beautiful!

　　我不能看着你，硬说你不漂亮。

　　B：You are pretending¹!

　　你在说谎！

　　A：No, Miss Anna, you must let me say how lovely you are! What's wrong with that?

　　没有，安娜小姐，你一定要允许我说你是多么的漂亮！这有什么问题吗？

　　B：It's wrong because---it isn't true.

　　有问题，因为这不是真的。

　　A：You know that everybody notices how beautiful you are, don't you?

　　你心里清楚人们都注意到你是多么的漂亮了，难道不是吗？

　　B：Well, no-that is, I've heard Linda say they do, but... Thank you. But please don't speak to me again.

　　嗯，不是啊，我只听琳达说过人们是这么说的，可是……谢谢你，但别再跟我讲话了。

　　A：Oh, Miss Anna! That's too hard! I won't be here long.

　　哦，安娜小姐！这太不近人情了！我不会在这待很久的。
