我的朋友开了一家川菜馆，为了表示支持，我就约了另外几个好友去品尝品尝。刚进餐厅就发现那里已经人山人海，看来他的生意不错， 再看看朋友那张灿烂的笑脸，我就知道这下他可赚进了大把钞票了。那么“赚了大把钞票”在英文中可以用cash in on something来表达。看看我在日记中是怎么写的：

这句话是说：我的朋友因为正确经营他的饭馆，正赚进大把钞票。
 
习语cash in本来就有“及时抓住赚钱机会、 发财”的意思，在后面加上介词短语on something, 当然就指“因某事大捞了一把”的意思。有时，当我们使用这个片语时，特别含有“人们认为去做某生意会亏本，而另外的人去做却发了财”的意思。To cash in on something means to make a profit from a situation in a way that other people think is wrong or unfair.
