Travel-loving Chinese are making most of the three-day holiday. Major airports in China are seeing more flights, comparing to same period last year. Saturday was the first day of the holiday, more than 240,000 people departed from Beijing airport. There has seen an increase of outbound travels.
According to China Southern Airlines, they sent more than 20,000 passengers to foreign nations from city of Guangzhou, an increase of over 25 percent. Their flights to destinations such as Chiengmai, Dubai and Los Angeles are generally full.
Meanwhile, Chinese foreign ministry has reminded its nationals for travel safety, and urged them to buy travel insurances. This came after various cases of Chinese travellers' sudden illness or traffic accidents in Japan, and 5 deaths in Indonesia this year.
