Yang also met Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen. Rasmussen said he cherished the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit last month. He said Denmark will play a positive role in promoting its ties with China.
Yang, meanwhile, called on Denmark to play a more active role in promoting China-EU relations and China-North Europe cooperation. The State Councilor also discussed furthering bilateral ties with Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen.
Denmark is the last leg of Yang’s three-nation tour, which also took him to France and Luxembourg.
