　　●The single most important cause for failure in international business is insufficient¹ preparation and information. 在国际贸易中唯一失利的重要原因是不充分的准备和信息。

　　●International market research permits the firms to take into account different environments, attitudes, and market conditions. 市场调研能使公司考虑不同的环境、态度和市场条件。

　　●With the development of the Internet, this research has become less complicated. 随着因特网的发展，这种调研已经变得不那么复杂。

　　●The search for information must always begin with an object. 进行信息方面的调研首先要有一个目标。

　　◆How to select a market? 怎样选择市场？

　　◇The exporter starts with the whole world, and with the crude statistical² selection device. 出口商开始时选择的范围是整个世界，用的是未经分析的统计选择方法。

　　◇After he narrows down his search he looks more closely at the details. 他缩小调查范围以后，就会对细节更加注意。
