　　Labor¹ Unions formed to unite workers, so that they had some bargaining power about wages and work conditions. Historically, manual laborers² were paid low wages, and then cast aside once they could no longer work.

　　工会的成立是为来要集结劳工的力量，让他们对于薪资及工作条件有谈判的能力。在过去，劳力工作者的薪水极低，而且一旦他们无法再继续工作，公司就会将他们开除。
