Shipping1, initially2 derived3 from the word relationship, is thedesire by fans for two people, either real-life celebrities4 or fictionalcharacters, to be in a relationship, romantic or otherwise.Shipping often takes the form of creative works, including fanfiction and fan art, most often published on the internet.
