如果你胖了，不要说fat 比较正式，合适的说法是：
Gained some weight
Gained a little weight
Put on some weight
如果是短期增重了，更好的说法是：
Packed on a few pounds
这个用法口语很常用，而且也符合英语的韵律。
不过不管是哪种，都不要当面说：
Don't say it to one's face
太不礼貌啦。
“大吃大喝”英语怎么说？
假期发胖，罪魁祸首就是“大吃大喝”
Pigged out: 狼吞虎咽
Indulged1 大吃大喝，放纵自己。Pigged out一般只指吃很多，indulged还包括喝很多。

减肥不是lose fat
发胖以后，最要紧的就是瘦回来:
英语中fat一般指脂肪，所以不会用lose fat来指减肥
正确说法：
Lose weight: 减肥
Go on a diet: 调整饮食
Diet: 原义是节食，现在常指健康饮食
Starve yourself: 节食一味节食不是减肥好方法，因为：
Slim down: 塑形
各种减肥方法
Exercise: 锻炼
Work out: 去健身房锻炼
Watch what you eat: 注意自己吃的是什么，管住嘴
Weight loss pills: 减肥药
开言还是提倡大家:
Don't starve yourself. But watch what your eat and work out.
