　　A tally chart is one of the easiest ways to record data. 统计图是记录数据最简单的方法之一。

　　What is the tally chart? 什么是统计图？

　　It expresses numbers at lines. 它用线表示数据。

　　It is a quick way of counting numbers in each category. 它是计算一类数字的快捷方法。

　　One tally consists of five lines. 每个计数符号有五条线。

　　For example, when ten people say their favorite sport is baseball, write down to tallys, 例如，有十个人说他们最喜欢的运动是棒球时，用计数符号记录下来，

　　we'll look at the data later, you don't have to count the number of lines, 我们随后看数据时，你不必数线的数量，

　　you can count the number of tallys, and multiplied the number by five. 你只需要计算出计数符号的数量，再乘以5就可以了。
