Skin your eyes for him, men; look sharp for white water; if ye see but a bubble, sing out. 你们要盯牢它,朋友们;当心那白水;只要看到一只泡泡,就大声叫喊。

All this while Tashtego, Daggoo, and Queequeg had looked on with even more intense interest and surprise than the rest, and at the mention of the wrinkled brow and crooked³ jaw⁴ they had started as if each was separately touched by some specific recollection. 在这中间,塔斯蒂哥。大个儿和魁魁格则比其余的人都更有兴趣和惊奇地看着,可是,一听到提起皱额钩嘴,他们三个人都吓了一跳,仿佛各人都记起了某种特殊的往事似的。

Moby Dick? shouted Ahab. Do ye know the white whale then, Tash? 莫比－迪克?亚哈嚷了起来。这样说来,你是知道那条白鲸了,塔斯?

Does he fan-tail a little curious, sir, before he goes down? said the Gay-Header deliberately⁵. 它可是有点古怪地要扇一扇尾巴后才游到水里去么,先生?这个该黑特佬慎重地说。

And has he a curious spout⁶, too, said Daggoo, very bushy, even for a parmacetty, and mighty⁷ quick, Captain Ahab? 它喷水也喷得很古怪,大个儿说,喷得很密,甚至比抹香鲸还要厉害,极其神速,是吗,亚哈船长?

And he have one, two, tree-oh! good many iron in him hide, too, Captain, cried Queequeg disjointedly, all twiske-tee be-twisk, like him--him- faltering⁸ hard for a word, and screwing his hand round and round as though uncorking a bottle--like him--him- 它还有一,二,山(三)。。。。。。啊,它身上藏有好多铁,船长,魁魁格不连贯地叫嚷道,全都是许多缠缠...缠缠,就象这...象这...结结巴巴地想说出什么来,只是把手旋来旋去,象在旋只瓶塞...就象这...象这...

Corkscrew! cried Ahab, aye, Queequeg, the harpoons⁹ lie all twisted and wrenched¹⁰ in him; aye, Daggoo, his spout is a big one, like a whole shock of wheat, and white as a pile of our Nantucket wool after the great annual sheep-shearing;  螺丝锥!亚哈嚷道,是呀,魁魁格,插在他身上的标枪都纠缠不清了;是呀,大个儿,它喷水很大,跟一大堆小麦一样,白得跟我们南塔开特一年一度剪过羊毛后的羊毛堆一样;

aye, Tashtego, and he fan-tails like a split jib in a squall. Death and devils! men, it is Moby Dick ye have seen-Moby Dick-Moby Dick! 是呀,塔斯蒂哥,它尾巴一扇一扇,就象让狂风吹散了的三角帆一样。哟!朋友们,你们看到的就是莫比－迪克,莫比－迪克,莫比－迪克!
