 开始今天学习之前，请大家先来翻译以下这句话：警察在外面要见你。我觉得你没事，但是他们想问你几个问题。

答案：You got the police outside waiting to see you. I don't think you're in trouble, but they want to ask you a few questions.
第一句很多同学都答对了，但是第二句就出问题了。首先是police这么简单的词，很多同学单复数却用错。
“警察”这个词到底怎么用？
1. Police 警察
Police是个集合名词，本身就是复数，所以不能说 a police
the police是指警察机关，例如：
Call the police. 打电话叫警察。
The police are here. 警察来了。
2. A policeman/police officer 一个警察
A policeman/police officer 讲个体的警察要用这俩词
注意：policeman的复数是policemen
police officer的复数是police officers
You got some/a few policemen
waiting to see you.
3.a cop 一个警察（俚语）
复数是cops
正式场合不要用哟~
我们背了很多单词，却常常忽略他们的用法和使用规则，到底哪里出了问题呢？
总结：
1. 想养成英语思维，要抛弃直译思维，从英语表达入手学习。
2. 别嫌弃一个表达简单，看懂和会用完全不是一回事，学英文表达别只停留在“看懂”阶段。
