People get scared by different things. What may scare someone from China may not scare someone from America.

人们被各种各样的的东西吓到。然而，中国人觉得恐怖的东西却不一定会吓到美国人。

We all know that America has many famous horror movies: Saw、Silent Hill, Scream, etc. Have you seen them?

我们都知道美国的有许多著名的恐怖片，像《电锯惊魂》、《寂静岭》、《惊声尖叫》等等。你知道这些电影吗？

It’s funny you mention Silent Hill, I watched that just a few days ago. But you know, that movie is based off of a Japanese Horror video game so we can’t really call that American horror.

真有趣，你居然提到了《寂静岭》。我前几天才看完这部电影。你知道吗？这部电影其实是由一个日本的恐怖游戏改编的，因此它不完全算是美国的恐怖片。

For me, personally, It’s gotta be “Misery” this is based on a book of the same name by Stephen King.
