　　-impress作动词，表示"给…….极深的印象;使感动"如 The woman impressed me most unfavorably. =I was unfavorably impressed by the woman. (这女人给我的印象极差。)还表示"使铭记，铭刻"常与 on/upon连用，如 My father impressed on me the importance of hard work. (父亲要我牢记努力工作的重要性。)[拓展]impress的形容词为 impressive(印象深刻的) , 名词形式为 impression(印象，痕迹，铭记)。
