China's top economic planner is telling local departments to keep prices stable for the upcoming Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays.
The National Development and Reform Commission forbids manipulating market prices. The NDRC wants local pricing authorities to continue to crack down on price gouging1 and says food producers and retailers2 who try to raise prices to unreasonable3 levels will be punished.
