一个英语单词可分为三部分：前缀（prefix）词根（root）后缀（suffix）。位于词根前面的部分就是前缀。前缀，可以改变单词的意思。
—se-表示“分开，离开”—
Secret = se + cret（产生）+ e → 使产生的事物（悄悄的）分离 → adj. 秘密的
Secret = se + cret（产生）+ e → 使产生的事物（悄悄的）分离 → n. 秘密
seduce1 = se + duc（引导）+ e → 引开 → v. 勾引，引诱
select = se + lect（选择）→ 分开选择，挑选 → v. 选择
—semi-表示 “半 ”—

semifinal = semi + final（决赛）→ n./a. 半决赛
—sub-表示 “下 ”—
submerge = sub + merg（沉，没）+ e → 沉下去 → v. 沉没，淹没
subtract = sub + tract（拉）→ 拉下去 → vt. 减
subway = sub + way（道路）→ 下面的道路 → n. 地铁
