Hello to you, I'm Creshon Saunders at the CNN.com news room in Atlanta. Here is a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

The Atlanta courthouse shooter will spend the rest of his life behind bars with no chance for parole. That sentence was handed down this morning. Last month, jurors found Brain Nichols guilty of killing1 four people and leaving another person with brain damage in a 2005 rampage. He was up for the death penalty, but spared yesterday when the jury deadlocked2. In Georgia, a death sentence requires a unanimous jury decision.

Either jump ship or be thrown overboard. Those are essentially3 the options Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is being given. The state Attorney General was asking the State Supreme4 Court to remove him that is if the legislature doesn't impeach5 him first. Now right now, he is not saying much. Federal officials say Blagojevich was trying to sell or trade the US Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

Defense6 Secretary Robert Gates is paying a surprise visit to Iraq today. He is talking to U. S. commanders there as the military prepares to cut troop levels. Many expect President-elect Barack Obama to start withdrawing troops at a faster pace. During his campaign, Obama said he wants combat troops out of Iraq in 16 months, but he also said he will listen to commanders on the ground.

Police in Florida believe remains7 found in a wooded area are those of Caylee Anthony. Her mum's defense attorneys say they have been told the hair and the body measurements match Caylee's. The FBI will do DNA8 test. A utility worker found the remains Thursday near Caylee's grandparents' home. Caylee disappeared back in June may you remember. Her mom Casey Anthony is charged with the girl's murder, prosecutors9 say they will not seek the death penalty.

Florida Governor Charlie Christ has taken the plunge10. We are not talking about swimming folks. Christ is the first sitting governor in Florida to wed11 in nearly 42 years. Florida media report he married New Yorker Carron Rome last night in St. Petersburg. About 200 people attended their wedding. Christ is 52 years old. His bride is 39. Christ and Rome met at a dinner in New York in September of last year. He proposed 10 months later.

Those are the headlines at this hour, for more on these stories and other news of the day. CNN is your source online, on TV, even when you're on the go.
