The Wall Street investment bank Goldman Sachs says it’ll cooperate with the fraud investigation5 launched by Britain's financial regulator. The probe comes after the American regulator charged the bank with fraud over the sale of a complex mortgage-backed investment fund. The bank has still managed to report a big increase in its first-quarter profit.

 

And extra engineers have been flown into the Goldfields city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to assess the damage from Tuesday's earthquake. The magnitude-5 quake struck yesterday morning, injuring two people and damaging dozens of buildings.
