Fairfax reports this morning the Greens have walked away from doing a preference deal with Labor⁷, and they are likely to do one with the Liberals instead.

New South Wales Labor powerbroker Joe Tripodi is set to announce that he won't contest this March state election. Now he's the latest in a long line of Labor MPs to jump ship. Mr Tripodi was key in installing Labor's last three premiers⁸. He's been in parliament since 1995.
