And the Federal Government will fund nicotine6 patches through the Pharmaceutical7 Benefits Scheme. From February next year, concession8 card holders9 will be able to access subsidised patches. The Health Minister Nicola Roxon says she expects that the decision will help tens of thousands of people to quit smoking.
