Tobacco company Philip Morris will launch legal action today to try to block the Federal Government's proposed plain packaging laws. The company says it's planning to argue that the new laws breach10 an international investment treaty. The company argues plain packaging would drastically reduce the value of its Australia investments. It also says the damages could run into billions of dollars.
 
And the search for a yachtsman missing in icy waters off Sydney's northern beaches has resumed. The man fell overboard yesterday. Rescue boats and helicopters have been searching the area of Narrabeen, but have so far found no trace of him. The man wasn't wearing a life jacket.
