  There are eight national holidays celebrated1 in the United States: New Year's
  Day(Jan.), Washington's Birthday (Feb.), Memorial Day(May), the Fourth of July, Labor2 Day(Sep.),Veteran's Day(Nav.),Thanksgiving(Nov.) and Christmas(Dec.), In addition, there are many state and local holidays.
