 　It is evident that many Canadian baby boomers are indulging in vintage cars they could not afford when they were young。

　　显然许多在二战后生育高峰期(1945-1952)出生的加拿大人都对老爷车情有独钟，他们年轻时是买不起的这样的车的。
　　在上面的报道中，vintage car就是 “老爷车”。老爷车是人们对现在被珍藏的古老而享有盛名的汽车的称呼。至于有多古老才算老爷车，目前尚无统一、明确的规定，一般认为至少是四五十年前生产的汽车。老爷车应该是在出厂时就拥有优良设计，高工艺标准及制作，十分高档、珍贵，而且现在基本保持原貌，否则只能称为old car(废旧车)。收藏车的人被称为car collector。
　　Vintage在这里的意思是“古老而有声誉的”、“古式的”、“古色古香的”，如果一个女孩告诉你她要去vintage store买东西，一般指的是复古风格的服装店，那里可能有名人穿过的vintage clothing(古董衫)。
　　为了环保，现在各国都提倡人们使用green car(新能源汽车)或zero-emission vehicle(零排放车辆)，我国也在逐步淘汰高污染的yellow label car(黄标车)。
