Greece's president has until Thursday to create a government before he must call fresh elections. He is now talking with the smaller party after the anti-bailout party Syriza rejected any compromise. Opinion polls suggest Syriza could now lead a coalition¹ threatening Greece's membership of the Europe. 

Police in Mexico has discovered the mutilated bodies of 49 people stuffed in the plastic bags and dumped on an isolated² highway. The bodies were found in the northern city of Monterrey. Police say the killings³ are linked to a few between rival drug gangs.

The Climate Commissions says New South Wales must urgently move to renewable energy. It predicts extreme heat waves, long bush-fire seasons and rising sea levels for the state by the end of the century. The Commission is calling for more investment in clean energy alternatives.

The shadow attorney general George Brandon says it should up to MPs itself and not the law to raise its standards of their behavior. He might become in some relation to Craig Thompson scandal. Mr Thompson denies allegations he misused⁴ union funds.

And three people have been arrested over the stabbing death of a man in Sydney's inner west. Police found the man lying unconscious in Marrickville street just after 9 o'clock last night. Police arrested a woman and two men at the scene.
