And first time novelist Anna Funder has taken out Australia's most
prestigious12 literary prize, the Miles Franklin Award. Her book All That I Am tells the story of an elderly Sydney woman and her role in the anti-Hitler resistance movement before World War II. Anna Funder has also attacked the Queensland
premier13 for
scrapping14 that state's literary awards.
