 RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Brazil striker Luis Fabiano scored his 14th goal in as many games as Sao Paulo shocked hosts Vasco da Gama 2-0 in Brazil's Serie A championship on Wednesday.

Fabiano struck from outside the area in the 20th minute and Osvaldo doubled the lead early in the second half when he dribbled1 past Auremir before curling a shot into the top corner.
Sao Paulo also had Rogerio Ceni to thank after the veteran goalkeeper made a series of spectacular2 saves to deny the home side in the second half.
The result takes Sao Paulo to within a point of fourth-placed Vasco with nine matches remaining.
