A group of asylum10 seekers on Christmas Island is continuing a hunger strike this morning. At least 100 asylum seekers are skipping meals or refusing to eat altogether. They've been told they could be sent to either Nauru or Manus Island.
 
 
 
And a car has crashed just minutes after police pursuit was called off in Sydney's south. Police say officers were conducting speed checks at Sans Souci around mid-night when a speeding car failed to stop. Police chased the car, but they called off the pursuit when the driver allegedly reached dangerous speeds. The man's car hit a power pole and rolled onto its roof. He's been taken to hospital.
