VAT是加值税（Value-added tax）的缩写，英国的加值税是17.5%，税率相当高，不过食品和小孩子的衣物是免税的。

台湾的车多半是自排，但是英国却以手排车占多数，所以如果想要和租自排车，最好至少提前一周预约。

在美语中license名词和动词的拼法是一样的，但是英式英语中的licence 是名词，动词用license。
