Barack Obama says it will take compromise and courage to address gun violence in the United States. The U.S president has announced his deputy Joe Biden will lead attempts to reform the country's gun laws. President Obama wants the plan to be outlined by January.
 
Two more health workers have been shot dead in Pakistan for their involvement in a polio vaccination7 drive. Eight people have now been killed in a series of coordinated8 attacks over the last 48 hours. Unicef has now suspended the program.
