[00:04.23]Years ago in Scotland, the Clark family had a dream. 

[00:08.36]Clark and his wife worked and saved, making plans for their nine children and themselves to travel to the United States.

[00:42.45]The doctor sewed up the boy but hung a yellow sheet on the Clarks’ front door.

[00:53.34]The family’s dreams were dashed. 

[00:56.44]They would not be able to make the trip to America as they had planned. 

[01:00.47]The father, filled with disappointment and anger, stomped3 to the dock to watch the ship leave — without the Clark family. 

[01:08.85]The father shed tears of disappointment and cursed both his son and God for their misfortune.

[01:15.49]Five days later, the tragic4 news spread throughout Scotland - the mighty5 Titanic6 had sunk. 

[01:24.64]The unsinkable ship had sunk, taking hundreds of lives with it. 

[01:30.09]The Clark family was to have been on that ship, 

[01:33.36]but because the son had been bitten by a dog, they were left behind in Scotland.

[01:37.96]When Mr. Clark heard the news, he hugged his son and thanked him for saving the family. 

[01:45.28]He thanked God for saving their lives and turning what he felt was a tragedy into a blessing.

[01:52.28]Although we may not always understand, all things happen for a reason.
