　　He made the remarks in an interview ahead of the fifth BRICS summit scheduled for later this month in South Africa.

 

　　The summit will be part of his first overseas trip since becoming president, which starts this Friday, and will also take him to Russia, the Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.

 

　　"Over the years, the relations between China and Tanzania has transferred from traditional government to government context, has extended to people to people cooperation. More and more Tanzania businessmen are now trading in China. And more Chinese entrepreneurs are making huge investment in Tanzania."

 

　　That was the Tanzanian ambassador to China, Philip Marmo.

 

　　China is now Tanzania's second largest foreign investor².

 

　　Chinese investment in Africa has been booming in recent years with trade said to have seen a tenfold increase in less than a decade.
