2. Reports indicate multiple bombs have exploded inside a school in the Syria's capital of Damascus. Activists³ say government forces are using the school as a base to attack rebellious⁴ neighborhoods. Initial reports are inconsistent. Some say seven people were wounded, others claim as many as 20 have been injured.

4. The NFL is upholding the Seattle Seahawks' 14-12 win over the Green Bay packers. The league says Seattle receiver Golden Tate should have been called for offensive pass interference before the game-winning catch. It would have clinched⁶ a packers victory, but it cannot be reviewed by instant replay.
