2. A security official who worked for the US Embassy in Yemen has been assassinated³ in a drive-by shooting in the country's capital. Security officials say the victim had been a lead investigator⁴ into an assault on the compound last month. But the State Department says he wasn't involved.

 

 

 

3. Police say a third person has died, following the collapse⁵ of a parking garage at Miami Dade College. The latest victim was pulled from the rubble⁶ some 13 hours after the five-story structure fell.

 

 

 

4. And a National Zoo veterinarian says a liver problem is to blame for last month's death of a 6-day-old giant panda cub⁷. The zoo also offered a glimpse of the cub's mother. Her behavior appears to be slowly returning to normal.
