 From the air, you can see a trailer of destruction stretching over 100 yards. More than 13 vehicles including 6 lorries were involved in the crash. So let’s take a close look at the accident itself. 

 
It appears to have occurred in the two sections. At the front, there’re 2 lorries and at least 8 cars surrounding them. Behind that another lorry jack-knifed and from there, it looks like there was a chain reaction as other lorries became involved, taking cars out along the way. There were reports of a number of explosions thought to be caused by gas cylinders2. The fire that followed was devastating3. Some said the flame was high as houses. The heat so intense it burned cars and lorries to the ground. So with the smoke, the main theory, there will still be other elements involved in this investigation4, one will be speed, another is likely to be tailgating.
