1.California authorities say a gunman went on a spree of shootings and carjacking across Orange County, California, killing¹ 3 people and wounding 3 others. They say the search for the gunman ended when he killed himself as police closed him.

 

2.President Obama lashed² out republicans, warning the people will lose their jobs if the sequester³ takes effect. House Speaker John Boehner released the statement saying the revenue debate is now closed. He says spending is the problem, spending must be the focus.

 

3.Oscar Pistorius cried as his lawyer told the South African courtroom that the Olympic athlete known as the Blade Runner mistook his girlfriend for an intruder and shot and killed her. Prosecutors⁴ however say Pistorious intentionally⁵ killed Reeva Steenkamp as she covered inside a locked bathroom. 

 

4.Kate Middleton made her first public appearance Tuesday since her pregnancy⁶ was announced in December while the baby born slightly visible. The duchess of Cambridge visited a centre for recovering addicts⁷ in London.
