The 3 captives, an 18-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy were rescued. Authorities in New Jersey³ say bodies of the children’s mother and a 13-year-old boy were found in the home.

 

　　2. Strong winds have pushed waves of ice into homes in parts of southern Canada and Minnesota. An ice wave was caught on this amateur video. A number of homes were damaged.

　　4. Demolition⁵ experts in Australia were forced to bring in excavators to help demolish⁶ a silo on Sunday after a controlled explosion failed to bring it down. The silo at an industrial site south west of the city of Brisbane was left standing⁷ at an angle about 40 minutes following the initial blast.
