The Chinese arm of Standard Chartered has rolled out a new mutual1 fund distribution business here on the mainland.

 

The British bank is one of the eight overseas banks that has been given the green light from China's securities regulator to start the new business.

 

Standard Chartered says around 90-percent of its over 100 outlets2 on the mainland have launched the new business.

 

The scheme will allow Standard Chartered to offer products including stocks, bonds, money and hybrid3 funds.
